Amalia Symeonidou – Vasilis Kontos – Evdokia Angela Simon
Amalia Symeonidou studied Contemporary Arts at the School of Fine Arts academy in Paris Roeder, architecture and interior decoration in ESAM and then worked in Rome, along with renowned architects and designers in the design and construction of exhibition stands. On her return to Greece,took over as head of the design department of modern furniture in the famous furniture company “Saridi.”At the same time she began to assume many projects in the field of interior design, which she stood out for her innovative ideas and expertise meanwhile resulting in the establishment of the 1991 AS Design Group.
Vasilis Kontos initially began his studies in Interior Design at the Vakalo School of Art & Design in Athens.Afterwards he moved to London in order to continue his studies in Engineering and specilizing in Lighting Installations and the application of old and new decorative and building materials.Having gained a wide experience in complex construction and specialist projects,he joined AS-Design Group in 2000.
Evdokia Angela Simon joined the team, AS Design Group in 2008. She completed her studies in interior and Industrial design and organization of furniture. She has graduated from the National Technical University of Greece and De Montfort University- Leicester England as well as theUniversityofMilan. After a long career in organizing large companies in the furniture business (Lakis Gavalas Interiors, Interni by Moda Bagno, John Deloudis etc.) she began to take home decorations and outdoor spaces with expertise in designing furniture and objects.
Today, AS Design Group consists of three interior designers having in their portfolio projects inGreece,Italy,Cyprus,Israel,USA(New York,Sacramento),Shanghai,Belgium.
The company deals with the study design and construction of hotels, residences, offices, shops, showrooms (showrooms – pavilions) and the decoration of spaces for events.
During the long presence of the AS Design Group, is distinguished for its originality as it combines traditional with modern materials, for quality in manufacturing but also for the anthropocentric nature of the design.
